We at 2cvstuff believe that the best option is to retain the
standard points and advance mechanism as that's the way it
was intended to be. It is easy to maintain and adjust and
most of you don't exactly do a huge mileage.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion
of course and if you would like one of those "fantastic,
answer to all your problems" products simply let us know
and we will sell you one. We believe that these represent
poor value for money and if you need anything at all you need
a simple points assisted system - so that's what we offer.
This unit is very reliable and in the unlikely
event of a fault developing you can simply revert back to
the standard ignition. The advantages that you will gain are
longer service life between adjustment and replacement of
the contact breakers. Everything that has been proved
reliable for over 50 years is left in place. |
